The Bole Senior High School branch of the Birifor Youth Association has ushered new executives into office with the election of masters Erekastey Desmond Nuuditey as president and master Olitey Solomon as vice president for a one -year term starting September 3, 2022.
Other members of the executive, who were sworn into office on September 3, 2022 at the school’s assembly hall are Sansah Isaac, Secretary, Bisuntey Amina as Financial Secretary,Razack Osman an Organizer, Grumah Cynthia as Treasurer, Jentier Grace was elected as Chief advisor and Birifuyiri Sandra as chairperson of dancing committee.
The new executive takes over from the administration of master Tortoru Puorsoun Raphael, immediate past president of the branch association.
In a brief remark, master Desmond indicated that his tenure would hinge on three pillars, organizing clean up exercises, promoting the culture of the tribe and organizing inter tribal games competition in the school to promote unity and peace among students.
He said , the association would continue to evolve events that would improve the bonds between the various tribes in the school.
It will focus on bringing new development initiatives and activities to enable the association to continue to fulfill its core mission of producing high quality, world-class students in the school.
Various dignitaries including Mr Backah Peter,Bunor Phillip, Benson Esther and Dari Peter who spoke to the students and the newly elected executives entreated them to be discipline in order to achieve academic excellence.
They asked the students to develop their skills and know which career they want stressing that, the knowledge they would acquire should transform them and reflect in all spheres of their lives.
Mr Dari Peter in particular urged the students to make the right choices of courses to enable them to make perfect decisions for their careers and urged them not to hesitate to contact the right people for the right information about course selections into the various tertiary institutions.
They advised the students not to allow the situation of living in a deprived area hinder them from pursuing their desired future careers.
“With perseverance, determination, hard work and confidence you can achieve your objectives in life”, they said.
