The Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Ghana, Her Excellency Isabel Ibarra, has visited the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District to inspect and monitor projects supported by Spanish organisations and partners, including NASCO FEEDING MINDS.

The visit began at the Sawla Chief Palace and Tuna Chief Palace, where the Deputy Ambassador was warmly received by traditional leaders, before proceeding to Tuna Senior High School, where a programme was held to showcase the impact of the projects, particularly the digital literacy initiative.

Speaking at the event, Her Excellency Isabel Ibarra said she was honoured to visit the district and see firsthand how Spanish-supported projects were improving opportunities for young people. She said the Spanish Embassy was committed to reaching communities beyond Accra and understanding the realities of people in rural areas.

She encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunities provided through the projects, stressing that the facilities were only tools for learning. According to her, students must study hard, develop their skills and take responsibility for building a prosperous future.

The CEO and Founder of NASCO Feeding Minds, Banasco Seidu Nuhu, expressed appreciation to the Spanish delegation for the visit, describing it as a strong indication of the growing partnership between the people of Ghana and Spain. He urged students to make good use of the facilities and believe in themselves.

The Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District Director of Education, Dr. Anthony Yeboah, commended NASCO Feeding Minds and its partners for supporting digital education. He described the ICT facility as an investment in the future of students, urging them to use technology for research, learning, innovation and problem-solving rather than entertainment.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Sinkina Saaka, also commended NASCO Feeding Minds for its continued support to Tuna Senior High Technical School. He announced that a new Kalba Community Senior High School would be developed, while GETFund had approved the construction of a fence wall around Tuna Senior High Technical School.

Traditional leaders, including the Sawla Wura and Tunawura, expressed their appreciation for the visit, describing it as a privilege for the community to host the Spanish delegation. The visit further strengthened collaboration between local communities, Ghanaian institutions and Spanish development partners in promoting education and digital inclusion
