The National President of the Birifor Youth Association, Madam Nyoni Vivien Ne-ormah as part of activities to celebrate her birthday, made a donation of assorted items and cash to some selected 15 widows at Dohieri in the Nakpala Electoral Area of the Sawla- Tuna-Kalba District.
The items donated to the widows include bags of rice, maize, fabrics, soft drinks,T- shirts, key soap, jollof rice to party and a cash amount of GHS 300.
Presenting the items to the widows, Madam Vivien opined that “it is the reality of life. It’s not everyone who is fortunate in life but this also tells us how fortunate we are and we must thank God that we are given some attributes that allow us to do the work that we do and to go out and look for shelter, food and everything for ourselves. It’s not because we are special but it’s because God just had mercy on us”.
While urging those who are well-off to care for the less-privileged, she said there was no better way to celebrate her birthday than sharing the blessings God has given her with the windows.
“We know this is a very difficult moment and we all could be in this situation but when God has blessed us and we can fend for ourselves we must always remember that not everyone is fortunate”. She told Yagbon News in an interview.
Looking at them it’s not by choice that they are in this situation but they must live life to the fullest and God knows why their husbands are no more alive, she added.
“I love helping the vulnerable; because helping the poor makes me feel human. More so, I also see philanthropy as a way to share the blessings of God with those in need”, she stated.
The widows’ in elation expressed their profound gratitude to the Ghanaian philanthropist for her thoughtfulness and kind gesture.
Madam Vivien accomplishments as a GRA ladies club national President and the national president of the Birifor Youth Association are accumulating as quickly as her reputation.
