In the aftermath of Yagbon radio’s broadcast showing the deplorable nature of the Seripe R/C Basic School, the Member of Parliament for the Bole -Bamboi Constituency, Hon.Yusif Sulemana has come forward to address the issue.

Pupils and teachers can now heave a sigh of relief as they are about to have a serene environment for academic purposes.

Both MP and the DCE visited school on Saturday April 25,2025 after Yagbon radio report.

The MP ,appealed to the District Assembly to renovate the upper primary block whiles he takes charge of the lower primary block.

He indicated that it has to be a holistic renovation of the school.

He gave the engineer up to Wednesday to summit the estimates to him for action.

Pupils of Seripe RC Primary, thanked Yagbon radio for broadcast their challenge and getting the necessary response.

Background.

The classrooms of Seripe R/C basic school have developed serious cracks in the walls, coupled with damaged roofing sheets which do not provide a congenial learning environment for the pupils.

Sharing his frustration in an interview with Yagbon News, the PTA chairman of the school,Mr Saaka Seidu , said it was an eyesore for pupils to study in such an environment.

He noted that despite several letters written to District Assembly for action to be taken, they had not received the needed attention.

He said, “We have made several appeals over the years to the government for support to change the current state of the school but no positive response has been received.”
