
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Sawla -Tuna- Kalba in the Savannah Region,Hon.Andrew Dari Chiwitey, has donated pieces of mathematical sets to this year’s Basic Education Examination Certificate (BECE) candidates in the area.
The gesture was to motivate and encourage them to successfully write their final exams.
Before the gesture, the Sawla -Tuna- Kalba lawmaker also organised a mock exam to prepare them for the final exams.
The donation was made on behalf of the MP by the Constituency Executives as part of ongoing interventions to support quality education and improve learning outcomes across the District.
Every year, the mathematical sets are distributed to Junior High School students throughout the constituency to aid their preparation for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and other academic assessments.
This initiative forms part of the MP’s broader commitment to investing in educational resources, reducing barriers to learning, and ensuring that students are adequately equipped for success.
The items were received by officials of the Sawla District Education Office on behalf of the District Director of Education.
In their remarks, the Education Office expressed profound appreciation to the MP and the Constituency Executives for the timely gesture.
They noted that the MP has consistently demonstrated dedication to educational development in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba through various forms of support to schools, teachers, and students.
The Education Office further commended the initiative and gave assurance that the mathematical sets will be distributed equitably to beneficiary schools across the district to ensure the intended impact is achieved.
They also encouraged the MP and his team to sustain their commitment to advancing education in the constituency.
