Latifa Bumaye, one of the key suspects in the alleged lynching of Akua Denteh,90, at Kafaba in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah region has appeared before the Bole Magistrate Court today Monday August 3.
She has provisionally been charged with murder.
Latifa Bumaye, 25, was accompanied into the court by a prosecutor Chief Abdulai B. Awini and three other police officers from the Savannah Regional Police Command.
His worship Prince Cudjoe, explained that the police sought to remand the accused person to enable investigations to continue.
She is to reappear on 20th August, 2020, which the police would have reached an advanced stage of investigations to facilitate the prosecution process.
The arrest of Latifa Bumaye brings to a total of six persons who allegedly lynched the 90 year old Akua Denteh after a self styled priestess declared her a witch.
