Five remanded into police custody over killing of Akua Denteh at Kafaba.

Five suspects who were allegedly involved in the murder of a 90 year old woman at Kafaba in the East Gonja District of the Savannah Region have been remanded into police custody by the Bole Magistrate Court.

They have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

The accused persons, Haruna Aness 34, Issifa Tanko 35, Shaibu Muntala 29, Sulemana Ali 35, and Issifa Zakyib 32 whose plea were not taken would reappear before the court presided over by His Worship Prince Cudjoe, on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

The prosecutor, Chief Inspector Abdulai Awini pray with the court for three weeks to enable him probe further into the case.

The court granted his plea and remanded the five suspects into police custody for the next three weeks.

Akua Denteh was allegedly murdered at Kafaba as a priestess accused her of being a witch.
