A Master Card Scholar of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a native of Bole in the Savannah Region, madam Amina Mumuni has been short listed to participate in the Access Bank Ghana Business Startup Challenge’, an initiative to support startup businesses in the country.

The initiative is in partnership with Platinum Africa Solutions. According to Access Bank, it seeks to reinforce its position as a Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME)-focused bank through its “W” initiative.

“It is imperative to support local startup businesses as such investment would in the long run, have a positive impact on the economy”, according to the bank.

The bank stated that, after realising lack of funds, proper planning and management skills, among others, are challenges stifling the growth of businesses, the bank’s intervention was needful.

Ghanaian entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 years, who will be shortlisted, will be provided with the needed resources to set or strengthen their businesses through the Challenge.

The top three finalists will receive a share of GH¢30,000 as cash prizes, business advisory & mentorship sessions and a GH¢20,000 worth of Life Insurance cover.

The young lady from Bole as part of her vision to educate and train herself in order to able to impact the lives of others positively has established two projects AmiShea Company Limited and EduRise Foundation in her community.

The projects aim at transforming and empowering women through adding more value to Shea fruits and well as supporting the young in the community to value education and the need to be educated in the near future.

One of the major goals of the company is to be part of the ten companies in Savannah region by 2025 as well as create at least 160 secured and reliable job opportunities by 2028.

Apart from that, to be able to supply quality Shea butter products at uniquely affordable rate to Ghana and the globe is one of her goals.

Madam Amina speaking to Yagbon News stated that since incorporation in February 2021,  AmiShea Company Limited has trained a total number of 32 women on the manufacturing of high standard shea butter soaps and hair growth cream.

But for Amina Mumuni to win the Business Sartup Challenge, she is calling all sons and daughters of the region (Savannah) and beyond to vote massively for her through the link below.
