The General Manager of the Friends Maternity Home Clinic in Sawla, Mr. Mahama Zakaria has touted his facility as the best health facility in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.
According to him, the facility has been in operation for about 30 years now, and has no match when it comes to health delivery in the District.
“Should the workers of this facility be infected, I know and every body in the District know that it will be a big blow to the entire District, because we are the hub of health services in the District, So we cannot afford to have our health workers infected with Covid-19 “. He boasted.
Mr. Mahama made the remarks to Joseph Wereh of Yagbon Radio after an NGO, Marie Stopes, gifted to them, Personal Protection Equipments (PPEs), to help in the fight against Covid-19.
Adding that “We are known for providing quality health care to our people. Not only that, but we are also known for providing training to young men and women who have completed school and are seeking to learn.
“They come here and gain experience before they are posted to the public sector,” he noted.
He therefore called on individuals and organizations to rally behind the facility by way of supporting them in their little ways to keep the good works of the centre.
He also clarified that the facility is no more “Maternity Home Clinic” as it used to be known, but now upgraded to a fully fledged clinic called Friends Clinic.
