Tuna community gets new Chief.

The people of Tuna were filled with all joy when their newly enskinned Chief finally arrived in the community on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

The team of Chiefs lead by Mandariwura, Alhaji Isaac Dramani Enumu Taase Krankungfo I introduces Daniel Mahama Safo Amantana Safotintini as the new Tunawura to the people who gathered to welcome him.

Delivering a speech on behalf of the Tuna Vagli koru, Dan Nonwa said they were pleased to welcome the new Chief into the community.

He reminded him of the natural and human resources available in the community and that he should leverage on these resources to equip the youth with skills for employment.

Hon. Barkisu Losina Watara, the District Chief Executive for area said Tunawura is within her jurisdiction and as a District he has her support.

She said chieftaincy is a neutral portfolio for politicians and expressed hope that the new chief will deliver his mandate as she wishes him well and called on the community to support him.

Speaking on behalf of his Excellency Former President John Dramani Mahama, the Mp for Bole-Bamboi said, he has worked with Tunawura Daniel Safo Mahama Amantana Safotintini and knows his capabilities and believes that he succeed in his new community.

He said It gives him great peace and joy the manner in which Chiefs are selected by Bolewura and the Gonja Tradition.

He assured him of his support any time any day and that he should uphold the rich culture and traditions of the people.

Mr Daniel Safo Mahama  Amantana Safotintini was Gbilimpewura until his enskinment as Tunawura .

This became necessary when Mandariwura Seidu Awusi KisiMumfo Bunyaso passed on.

Mandariwura Enumu Taase krankungfo I was moved to Mandari which pave way for the election of Gbilimpewura to Tunawura, Daniel Mahama Safo Amantana Safotintini
