The Bole District Juvenile Volleyball Committee on Friday the 17th day of June, 2022 made an important intervention to keep a child in school.
The team led by its organising secretary Mr Osman Issahaku aka Champion included Mr Baba Suleman, Mr Mohammed Sumani and Mr Bakari Aziz presented two pairs of foot wears for training and classes, a bag, reading books, exercise and note books as well as pens, pencils, erasers and others to Salia Kassim of Seripe Mighty Fingers.
Before handing over the items to the parents of the volleyball wonder kid at Seripe, Champion explained that having identified Salia as a child with a big brain in Volleyball, the committee had resolved to support and nurture him hence the donation.
The Champion Organiser encouraged the grandmother of the young orphan to endeavor to ensure that Salia doesn’t not drop out of school since that would end his relationship with the volleyball committee.
He reiterated that no player who is not in school would be allowed to participate in the Bole District Juvenile Volleyball completions.
All players were therefore urged to be serious in school to enable them enjoy fully the fruits of Volleyball.
After receiving the items, an obviously excited grandma, Madam Awodema Salia thanked the officials for the kind gesture and prayed that more of such donations would come in future to assist her take good care of Salia who lost his mother before he could even walk.
Kassim Salia whom many nicknamed the volleyball Messi was adjudged as the best under 13 Volleyball player in the just ended Bole District Juvenile Volleyball Gala at Maluwe.
