Seidu Gilbert Iddi Tempirfi I, has been duly enskinned as the new chief of Mandari, of the Bole Traditional Area as the Mandari skin became vacant owing to the demise of the late Mandariwura Mumuni Isaac Dramani.
Addressing the people of Mandari, Tunawura Safo Amantana who spoke on behalf of Madariwura said he has been sent by Bolewura to take care of traditional governance in Mandari.
He said all he needs is cooperation among the leadership of mandari to foster development in the area.
Safalna Kafinti I, the leader of the safalba in Mandari poured libation and prayed for togetherness and peace among them and in a form of acceptance of the new chief by Bolewura.
He urged the new chief to embrace justice in his reign as Mandari is for peace and development.
The traditional leader added that if the chief gets to eat he should remember him and that if he also gets to eat he will remember Mandariwura.
But stated that to foster cooperation among him and the subjects of Mandari his wives shall not suppress their wives at the well or picking of shea fruits and also called for collaboration between farmers and herdsmen .
In a short address , Former President John Dramani Mahama said the position is key and important because he is next to Bolewura adding that he thanked God for taking him this far.
He expressed his gratitude to the people of Mandari for accepting him as their chief.
He said Mandariwura Tempirfi I is an experienced leader considering the positions he has held for that matter he is not surprised the number of people who have travelled from places to be part of the ceremony.
The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress said he is grateful to people of Mandari for voting for him to attain 98% in the just ended NDC presidential primaries.
Before Mr Gilbert election as Mandariwura, he was a former Deputy minster of Agric, Former Northern Regional Minister CEO for Savannah Accelerated Development Authority, Balewura, among others.
