The Member of Parliament for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, Hon. Dari Chiwitey Andrew, together with Hon.Yussif Sulemana (Ori), Member of Parliament for the Bole- Bamboi constituency have both appealed to Ghanaians especially the people of the Savannah Region to partake in the ongoing new voters’ registration exercise.

The two MPs said the “possession of the new voter ID card guarantees one’s right to vote in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections. ”

“We have the ultimate responsibility to ensure that our voting right is guaranteed in order for us to move out in our numbers come December 7 to kick out the incompetent Akufo Addo led administration, they stressed.

The two MPs made these comments when they both stormed the studios of Yagbon Radio on June 30,2020, to educate their constituents on the need to register for the new voter’s ID card.

The two lawmakers enumerated the benefits the voter ID is of importance to a Ghanaian.

“Opening a bank account, requires a voter ID, going for a loan from any financial institution requires a voter’s ID card, voter’s ID cards are required for registering a SIM card for calls or Mobile Money and to benefit from Government social services like LEAP demands for a voter’s ID card”, they indicated.

The two MPs also warned that they will not allow any person to bus people from other places into their constituencies in the ongoing voter’s registration exercise.
