The headteacher of Seripe Junior High School in the Bole District Mr. Alidu Zakaria was yesterday, July 5, 2020, attacked and beaten by two suspected thieves around 10:00 pm.
Narrating the incident to Yagbon News Mr. Zakaria said he closed from his shop around 10:00pm and when he got to the school which had since gone dark as a result of lights off for the past two days, someone in the dark scene hit him with a stick from the back after a torchlight was flashed on him.
“I was beaten severely with a stick till I fell down and they made away with my haojue motorbike with registration number M-20- UW 1837”, he said in a worried voice.
According to him the thieves after seizing the motorbike took the direction heading towards Bole.
The case has since been reported to the Bole District Police for investigations.
Mr. Zakaria said stealing has become rampant in Seripa especially stealing of goats.
Mr. Zakaria also works with Yagbon Radio as a part time worker in the area of sports presentation.
