The Overlord of Gonja in the statement called on the security agencies to as a matter of urgency bring the perpetrators to book to serve as a deterrent to others.

The statement urges all subjects in the Gonja Kingdom to desist from this barbaric behavior and allow the customary law and the laws of of Ghana to work in resolving such challenges to avoid violence.

In a related development the Inspector General of Police ( IGP), Mr. James Oppong Boanuh has on yesterday, 25th July, 2020, announced a two thousand Ghana cedis booty on the killers of the late Akua Denteh.

The statement mentions one Sanjo, as a suspect who is said to have hosted Hajia Filina, a priestess who declared the deceased a witch.

Others are the priestess Hajia Filina, one teacher Aliu, Bumaye, Ashly and Manfo who have since fled the the community.

“Any person with credible information that could lead to their arrest should contact police in Savannah Region or call police free toll on 18555 or 122 or on mobile phone numbers 0550323323/0275000156 or WhatsApp on 0206639121”, the statement added.
