The District Chief Executive for Bole District Hon. Veronica Alele Heming has said that we are making strides as a nation considering the gains we have made after 63 years of independence.
She disclosed this during the 63rd Independence Day Anniversary in Bole where she chronicles the achievements of Ghana since 1957.
Delivering a speech on the theme “consolidating our gains” to mark the anniversary Hon. Veronica stated that Ghana for 16 years has not recorded a single death from measles.
The DCE again said Ghana has achieved an 81% water coverage, 85% electrification , Infrastructure and Free SHS, all these are signs of positive gains.
stressing on the need for us to consolidate our gains, She stated that 25 years ago, only few people use mobile phones. It was a social status of symbol but today Ghana has about 41 million subscribers.
Madam Veronica Heming said we should not be complacent and still do our best to build our nation.
Hon. Veronica also assured the gathering of Government preparedness to COVID19 in Ghana and entreat all to exercise restrain and avoid shaking hands for now as a way of preventing the condition.
Delivering a speech the District Director of Education, Mr. Vincent Kwesi said Bole has teachers but still ask for more teachers to be posted to the District.
Mr. Akwesi said that despite the challenges faced by the Directorate, the District still recorded a single digit in the 2019 BECE.
The District Director of Education regrettable stated that about 16 nursery school are still operate under trees in District.
He also said teachers refuse postings to Dakurpe because of religious reasons.
At the end of the match pass Kurabaso Nursery, English and Arabic primary, St. Kizotos “A” JHS and St. Kizotos Vocational and Technical Institute were adjudged first as in Nursery, primary, JHS and SHS categories respectively.
