The Member of Parliament for the Bole – Bamboi constituemcy Hon. Yussif Sulemana has donated 30 sewing machines to two Union groups of dressmakers in Bole.
This offer is expected to reduce their economic burdens of procuring new machines to aid in their services.
This forms part of series of such donations by the MP from his MP’s Common fund.
The unions include Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) and Garment Makers.
The support of 30 sewing machines, are 10 Netting machines and 20 ordinary machines.
Addressing the Unions after the donation he urged them to be united as he has listened to their concerns and will work on them appropriately.
Speaking exclusively to Yagbon Radio the MP said that he was suppose to organize a get together with the Unions to donate the machines but failed and then seized the opportunity on this Independence Day Anniversary to offer the donation.
He promised to have a dinner this year with them and others in December in his reign as MP.
Hon. Yussif said the contribution of tailors in Bole on job creation cannot be over emphasised and donating such items to them will create more opportunity for young people.
He regrettably said , some have passed out and start up capitals becomes a challenge to them.
He urged everyone to exercise restrain in this year election as peace is the only tool to development and that Allah chooses a leader but is off optimistic that john Dramani with him will emerge victorious.
Speaking to Yagbon Radio, the Chairperson for the two Union, Alhassan Masata (Garment Association) and Mustapha Sulemana (GNTDA) thanked the MP for the donation and promised to use the machines rightly.
