Stakeholders committed to eradicating malaria in Bole District.

Bole District Health Directorate of Ghana Health Service has engaged stakeholders on the malaria prevention program for 2024.

The exercise is done every year as a means to eradicate the disease among both adults and children.

The exercise will include point mass distribution of mosquito net and seasoning Malaria chemo-prevention tablets.

During a power point presentation Mr Braima Abdul-Rahman a disease control officer encouraged stakeholders to assist the directorate to meet its target.

He explained that the 2023 third and fourth round did not meet the target which do not represent a good out look .

So he called on stakeholders to assist the directorate to meet all the targets this year.

Mr Baaluo K Joseph a health promotion officer called for an effective communication with regards to the program.

He said ineffective communication has affected the entire program and called for a collaborative effort to promote the program.

The seasonal Malaria Chemo-prevention will start from 18 to 24 June 2024 alongside registration for point mass distribution.

Distribution of mosquito net will take place from 23-27 July 2024.

Addressing the media a health promotion officer Mr Musah Moro encouraged parents to take the exercise serious.

According Imoro the program is an effort by Government to o eradicate malaria which demands a collective effort.
