Seidu Nuhu Banasco, Executive Director of Nasco Feeding Minds, and NPP Parliamentary Candidate in the Sawla- Tuna- Kalba Constituency has secured fully funded foreign scholarship package for students in Sawla-Tuna- Kalba District.
The scholarship package dubbed “NASCO SCHOLARS”, is geared towards sponsoring 100 students into any University in the country and abroad.
The young and vibrant Parliamentary candidate made this known to party faithfuls at his residence when he was welcomed back from abroad.
Banasco said the scholarship package is set to kick start in the next academic year and has therefore urged students in the constituency to study hard and grab the golden opportunity to improve upon their lives.
Reacting to criticisms on his long stay in Spain when the Constituency needed him most in the fight against covid-19, Banasco said he was invited to Spain by the University of Carlos in Madrid for a program organized by the united Nations.
“Despite been lockup in Spain, I never relented my efforts in the fight against covid-19 pandemic”, he defended.
Chronicling his contributions while away he said, he launched a covid-19 education team, provided Veronica buckets, sanitizers among others towards fighting the virus.
He stressed that he contributed immensely to the fight against covid-19 than those who were in the country.
The NPP Parliamentary candidate said leaders should be voted into power based on their track records” the days of drilling boreholes is over and leaders need to proof that they can perform before they are given the opportunity to serve” he stated.
He was in a company with Hon.Vug Naa, the former NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency in 2008.
