The Deputy Organizer of the NPP in the Damongo Constituency, Mr. Atabeah A. Raheem has said that a story in circulation about the seizure of their Chairman’s pick up keys and deflating its tyres is a well calculated plan by some selfish individuals to tarnish the had won reputation of Alhaji Sulemana Iddrisu.

An audio of Mr. Atabeah in circulation has been intercepted by Yagbon News which he entreats the general public to disregard that said story of seizing the chairman’s pick up keys by a youth group in the constituency since such group has been disbanded long ago under the directive of their National Organizer, Sammy Awuku.

Mr Atabeah said that the pick up which tyres got deflated doesn’t belong to the Chairman but was given to the Region for facilitation of their activities.

According to Mr. Atabeah, One failed Chairman aspirant and the Regional Organizer are the ones behind the false circulation as he describes them as selfish individuals who have masterminded to cast a slur on their Chairman. These 2 transported the boys in and out.

He added that the boys had the blessing of the Regional Minister for Savannah Region. After the said action, he was the one that they reported the incident to and he applauded them for their action in the midst of some 2 DCEs and 2 other persons in Tamale.

Mr. Atabeah said he was the secretary to the said youth group and there is no way an interview or meeting will be held without his knowledge.

“Our chairman is hardworking, who doesn’t sleep and working at all time to making our party very popular in the Region”no one can thwart his efforts, Atabeah noted.

He added that the chairman doesn’t hold anything negative against the hierarchy of the party as he continuously acknowledge the efforts of Dr. Clifford and Abu Jinapor anywhere he goes.

The report that he is not accommodating is false and should be disregarded, Atabeah said.

On 25th April, 2020, news went viral on social media that the official vehicle of the Regional Chairman, Alhaji Sulemana Iddrisu has its tyres deflated and keys seized by a group of young men who called themselves party security in the Region.
