The Member of Parliament for the Bole- Bamboi Constituency in the Savannah Region, Hon. Yusif Sulemana, has donated five motorbikes, two beds, two office tables, four office chairs and a borehole to the health Directorate in the Constituency to support health delivery.

The MP, who is the Deputy Ranking Member of Trades and Industry committee and also a member of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament Committee explained that the donation will go a long to help improve health care delivery in the Bole District.

According to Hon. Sulemana, there is the need to improve the quality of life for the people in the constituency through community-focused care that enhances healthcare services.

He was hopeful the gesture will improve access to preventive health care services, and further engage the indigenes in care decisions, as well as lower the cost of health care.

Speaking to Yagbon News after handing over the items to the Directorate, the MP said he was informed about the lack of basic items at Kui CHPs compound that negatively affects health delivery and hence his decision to buy two beds and furniture for the facility for effective health delivery.

He added that health is a necessity and that at any point he has the ability to support he will do so to see a robust health system in his constituency.

According to the MP, he procured the items through the NHIS fund ,a portion of the District Assembly funds allocated to MPs.

The District Director of Health Services, Hajia Fuseina Sulemana, could not mince words than to say thank you to the constituency legislator for the support and believes the support will definitely lead to improving the standard of health care delivery in the District.

She however said there are still numerous challenges facing the Directorate and prays the MP gets enough funds to support Babator, Chache, Chibirnyo and the District Health Directorate to be able to bring health delivery to the door steps of the residents.
