The Bole District on Sunday, March 6, 2022, joined other sister Districts across the nation in celebrating Ghana at 65.
Celebrating the day under the theme; working together, bouncing back together saw march pass by schools and other organization including cultural dance display.
Speaking at the ceremony, Madam Veronica Alele, District Chief Executive for Bole called the citizens to be united over political and tribal differences adding so our area could be will enhanced.
She added that Bole District can boast of improvement of infrastructure within the education and health sector which includes the opening of a dinning hall for BOSEC and St Anthony of Paduah school, commissioning of Bamboi polyclinic among others.
She also expressed worry over the recent murder cases in the District capital, said such instances create fear and panic but assured the public that she will collaborate the with the police and chiefs to deal with matter and hence people should go about with their daily activities without fear.
She also reminded the public that COVID-19 is not over and encouraged people to get vaccinated.
The District Director of Education, Mr Yahaya Sulemana said the District had chalked successes despite its bedeviling challenges.
Touting the achievement’s, he said Bole Senior High School emerged first in last year’s WASSCE in Savannah Region.
But lamented the fact that some schools still study under trees and pleaded with the government to take a second look at the situation.
About 46 schools and other organizations participated in the march pass.
