Mankpan Youth Association bares teeth at their Chief for not residing with them.

The Public Relations Officer of the Mankpan Youth Association, Mr Adams Jaabu, has said Mankpanwura has two weeks ultimatum to relocate to Mankpan or be replaced.

He repeated this on Yagbon radio morning show in an interview with Diwura Abdul Fataw.

On Friday 19th May 2023, the youth of Mankpan held a press conference to register their displeasure over some actions of the the paramount chief.

The youth accused the chief of not living in the community and disregarding all traditional protocols of the paramountcy.

Speaking on Yagbon radio to clear the issues, Mr Adams Jaabu explained that Mankpanwura stopped a native from establishing Satchet water company in the area.

He said the most worrying part of is that he stopped a cement manufacturing factory from establishing their plant in the paramountcy started by his predecessor.

He said all these actions have become necessary because of gross disrespect to the customs and traditions of the Traditional Area.

He said he seized every opportunity to insult the people of the area

The youth PRO said they initially petitioned the King of Gonjaland of which he refered the matter to Gonjaland Youth Association.

He said Gonjaland Youth Association will be meeting them on Monday 22 May 2023 address the issues.

He stated that the long and short of their issue is that he should relocate to the paramount area or will be replaced within two weeks.
