The Bole District Forest Division Services has designated centers for people to collect seedlings for planting on the Green Ghana Day, on 9th of June 2023.

The centers are located at the premises of the District office, Bole, Bamboi forestry staff quarters and at the Sawla new market.

This was disclosed to Yagbon News when the Division submitted an announcement details ahead of the Green Ghana Day on June 9, 2023 during which millions of tree seedlings are expected to be planted across the country.

The seedlings at the collection points includes Cassia, Teak, Cashew and Mahogany.

According to their announcement detail presented to Yagbon radio, distribution and collection of the tree seedlings starts from June 5, 2023.

Members of the public, institutions, agencies and NGOs are expected to register early at any of the designated centres to avoid inconvenience.

The general public is therefore entreated to go to any of the designated collection points and pick their desired seedlings for planting on the above stated date.

For the past few years the government of Ghana through the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has embarked on a program dubbed ” Green Ghana” to help restore the country’s degraded landscape and mitigate the impact of climate change.
