The Member of Parliament for Sawla- Tuna-Kalba, Andrew Dari Chiwitey has submitted his nomination forms to seek re-election.

The incumbent MP presented the documents to the Electoral Commission’s Office on Tuesday, September 9.

He used the opportunity to address party leadership and delegates, expressing gratitude for their dedicated support over the past years.

Reflecting on his accomplishments, Andrew Dari Chiwitey highlighted achievements in education, infrastructure, welfare, while emphasizing his commitment to the total well-being of Sawla -Tuna-Kalba residents.

Noteworthy projects included the construction of schools, promotion of health delivery , improved water delivery and other major projects.

“Regarding education, I have performed well. In the areas of infrastructure, security, and health, I have succeeded. From the time I became your MP, progress has been made in every area ”, he said.

The MP underscored the significance of community engagement which will lead to collective development.

As he seeks re-election, the MP positioned the campaign as a collective effort for the continuous development of the constituency.

He urged constituents to focus on the bigger picture, emphasizing that the election was about the community’s progress, not individual interests, and hence urged all eligible voters on the day of elections to cast their vote for John Mahama and himself.

Addressing the party faithfuls at the constituency office, the constituency Chairman of the NDC Alhaji Osman Salia urged party supporters to work hard to retain the seat.

He charged party supporters to begin campaign and move from door to door for Hon Chiwitey and John Mahama come December 7.

He said chiwitey is the bullet and Mahama is the gun for this hunting adding this is not the time to complain but to make sure there is successful hunting for electoral power.

Before submitting the forms, the MP and his team paid a courtesy call on Sawlawura Abdulai Nugbaso who encouraged the NDC Parliamentary candidate to campaign on issues devoid of insults adding that we are one people therefore we should live in peace during, before and after the election.
