Alhaji Abu Bilfu, the newly elected Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency, has called for the need to critically address petty squabbles, backbiting and internal wranglings to foster peace in the party.
In addition, he underscored the need for disgruntled members of the NPP in the area to bury their differences and ensure unity of purpose saying, that would be the surest way the party would retain political power and break the eight-year mantra.
In interview with Yagbon Radio morning show host Abdul Diwura Fataw, on May 04, 2022, after overwhelmingly winning the fierce chairmanship race, he said, he is ready to unite the rank and file of the party to win more members to the party since politics is about numbers.
The newly elected Chairman touching on his vision said he would unify the party and bridge the gap between the Government and the grassroots.
He stressed the need to unite the grassroots and foot soldiers to help propagate the good works of the President Akufo-Addo led Government and the ideals of the party.
According to him, he would liaise with all party members to build a formidable front that would let party sail through and win the 2024 elections.
He entreated the teeming supporters of the elephant fraternity to guard themselves against “hear says” and build an effective communication system in the party and bring back the confidence in the executive structure.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency elections in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency in the Savannah Region took place on Thursday the 28th of April, 2022.
The elections saw a number of the incumbents losing their positions.
The incumbent Constituency Chairman, Sulemana Zakaria, was defeated by Alhaji Abu Bilfu, a businessman.
Alhaji Abu Bilfu polled 420 votes to beat Sulemana Zakaria, who also had 202 votes.
