It was all smiles for a victim of a recent fire that gutted the room of Madam Hawa Abdulai popularly called Nana when the Bole District Community Foundation today supported her with one packet of a roofing sheet at a cost of six hundred and fifty Ghana cedis to enable her renovate her room.
The Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Hon. Adams Dramani Deen, made the symbolic presentation to the victim on May, 04, 2021, at her damaged place of abode.
The victim could not help but applauded intermittently while the CEO delivered a short address.
Making his presentation, the CEO indicated that the foundation was touched by the plight of the victim who had lost all her belongings to the inferno.
The support, he said formed part of the foundation’s humanitarian services to assist the victim re-fix her room for convenience shelter.
Hon. Deen said, the foundation could not meet the cost of items lost in the domestic fire but expressed the hope that the intervention would alleviate her plight.
The CEO also added that the foundation recently assisted Abasumakoraa, also in the Bole District to fix their only borehole which was broken down compelling residents to trek for miles to the Nsunia river to draw water, which in itself is not safe for domestic purposes.
He said the foundation is still young but has good policies to help propel the developmental needs in the various communities if given the needed support by stakeholders, benevolent organization’s and individuals in and out of Bole.
Madam Hawa Abdulai, thanked the foundation profoundly for the support and prays that Allah blesses the foundation to be able to offer such helping hand to residents in times of such difficulties.
Background of Bole District Community Foundation.
The Bole District Community Foundation(BDCF), which focuses on the development of the Bole District whiles serving as a philanthropist in contributing to improve the lives of the people was inaugurated on 27th December, 2021 at the forecourt of the Bolewura’s Palace.
The foundation seeks to mobilize financial resources, expertise and the time of natives of the community both home and abroad, philanthropists and other developmental organizations to champion the cause of community development to compliment the efforts of the central government.
The idea for the formation of the foundation was adopted from the Pure Trust Foundation and even before its inauguration it undertook a career guidance lecture at the Bole SHS, trained over 150 individuals in various skills and supported the mechanization of a borehole in Chache among other projects.
