Final funeral rites of the late Kpaliwura held.

The Islamic final funeral rites, known as ‘Adua’ of the late Kpaliwura Akati Mahama, was on Sunday performed at Bole of the Savannah Region.

A large number of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters led by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Frimpong Kodua, Mp for Damongo Constituency Hon. Abu Jinapor, the Regional Chairman Prof kalamonia, Dr. Achanso, some Regional and Constituency executives, polling station executives and Electoral Area Coordinators attended the final funeral rites of the late Kpaliwura Akati Mahama.

The late Kpaliwura Akati Mahama died on the 1st of June this year at his residence after a short illness at the age of 84.

He became the District Chief Executive of the NPP for the Bole District during the first term of former President John Agyekum Kuffour administration in the year 2000.

The Minister for Lands and Natural resources and also MP for Damongo Constituency Hon Abu Jinapor speaking at the funeral grounds mentioned that he came on behalf of the President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to mourn with Raphael Mahama Akati ,the Savannah Regional Youth Organizer who has served the party through tick and pain and to join him in this prayers for his beloved departed father.

“And also to mourn with the family of Hon. Akati Mahama a sub chief of Bole traditional area and also a strong member of the New Patriotic Party in Bole-Bamboi Constituency”, the Minister stated.

“The Vice president who couldn’t honor the funeral has stood by the family and stood by the NPP Party in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency through thick and thin but he said that he is with them in spirit but will come at the right time and he wishes the NPP chairman and his executives and all members in the Constituency well and as he mourns with you”, he noted.

In addition on behalf of the NPP, General Secretary for the party made a donation of Ten Thousand Ghana cedis (ghc10,000).

The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia also made a donation of Twenty Thousand Ghana cedis (ghc 20,000), the former president John Dramani Mahama made a donation of Two Thousand Ghana cedis (ghc 2,000), Alan Kyeremanteg made a donation of Two Thousand Ghana cedis (ghc 2,000), MP for Bole- Bamboi constituency made a donation of One Thousand Ghana cedis (ghc 1,000) and MMDCE’s in the Savannah Region also made some donations to the family.

Present at the funeral were NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua, Regional Executives, MP for Bole-Bamboi Hon Yusif Sulemana, Mp for Damongo Hon. Abu Jinapor, Dr. Sulemana Achanso, Bole-Bamboi NPP Constituency Executives, Bole-Bamboi NDC Constituency Executives led by Alhaji Alhassan Kassim among others.
