Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey, Member of Parliament for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, has donated 5 packets of roofing sheets worth GH¢ 7,500 to support the Konkpertee community health facility project.
Presenting the roofing sheets to the community on Saturday April 15, 2023, Hon. Andrew said the assistance was in response to an appeal by the Women during their annual association celebration.
Speaking on behalf of the MP at the event, Mr Kpiefaa An- e Stephen, commended the people of Konkrompe for taking upon themselves to initiate development projects to uplift the image of the community.
He said such attitude by the people had contributed to massive development in the community in the area of education, among others.
Mr Kpiefaa, therefore, urged other communities to emulate such a spirit to bring development to their people rather than waiting for government to provide all their needs.
Speaking on behalf of the community, madam Dari Sarah, President of the Association said the community is suffering due lack of a health facility.
She said the situation had left women leaving in an uncomfortable situation.
She recounted that the community initiated the project two years ago to improve health care delivery .
Madam Sarah thanked the MP for using his meager resources to assist his constituents and said the items would motivate them to work harder to complete the project on schedule.
