Women must explore higher prospects and opportunities for the development of their communities, the secretary of the Birifor Women Association,Mr Jonathan Laamiitey,  has urged.

Mr. Jonathan made the remarks during the third edition of the annual celebration of the Konkrompe Women Association.

Speaking to Yagbon News at Konkrompe on the sidelines of the event, Mr Jonathan stated that women played an integral role in every community development stressing that women should be given the needed opportunities to explore their potential.

He said most times men gained undue advantages over women which sometimes made women coil up, a situation she said made many women vulnerable.

Mr Jonathan challenged corporate entities within the Sawla- Tuna- Kalba District to extend some support to less privileged women in the communities.

He also challenged the youth most especially the ladies to venture into trades that could give them some decent earnings, adding that it was essential for a woman to run her own business.

The Konkrompe Women Association is a group of eleven different women groupings with the aim of providing development projects to the area.

They said they have been neglected and have suffered for so many years without social amenities like road, water, health facility and electricity and pleaded with President Akufo-Addo to come to their aid.
