The Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency of the Savannah Region, Mr Kipo Elijah Bakari, has said that, the NPP government hasn’t built a single capital project in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District, as most of the capital projects in the District were done by NGOs and other developing partners.

He also said the president is reminded of Sawla’s District factory under his “One District, One Factory” Slogan.

Mr Kipo Elijah made these comments in a statement as the president is set to begin a two-day working visit to the Savannah Region on August 24.

According to the statement issued by the constituency communication bureau, the NDC of Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency is calling on all citizens to kindly disregard the plan to line them up to wave at the president whilst on his way to Damango.

“It is against the Ghanaian culture to welcome a person inflicting pains in your livelihood”, the statement added.

The Research and Intelligence Unit of the Sawla NDC Communication Bureau in the statement called on the President to officially commission the Sawla District Hospital started by H.E John Dramani Mahama.

“Mr. President, your government hasn’t built a single factory in the entire Savannah Region”, the statement indicated.

The statement added that, the President wouldn’t be able to continue his sleep whilst on his way to Sawla due to the manholes on the road and therefore called on the minister of Roads and Highways to kindly rehabilitate the Sawla-Wa road.

The Research and Intelligence unit unit of Sawla-Tuna-Kalba will equally wish to plead with the people of Damango to remind the President of his numerous promises made to them, the statement added.
