A Constituency Vice-chairman hopeful for Bole -Bamboi Constituency,  Mr Peter D.K. Piuvuor, has petitioned the Savannah Regional Executives over what he described as unlawful way of compiling a new branch executive elections

The petition which was written on behalf of his lawyer, Albert Kungmaa Ziem- Esq, stated that the action of the Constituency Executives is unconstitutional.

The lawyer drew the attention of the Regional Executive Committee on article five(5) , subsection two(2)(c) of the NPP constitution. Which states that “in polling station executives election all card bearing and paid-up members in good standing in a polling station area shall vote”

He avers that all these qualifications he met but was not part of the process.

In stating his evidence he allegedly stated that kwame-kwasi, Gbilimpe, Wasipe are among polling stations where this illegality has taken place.

He said the action of the constituency executives has a tendency to dwindle the fortunes of party in the Constituency.

He also alleged that the constituency executives have led the constituency for twelve years and still want to bulldoze their way into winning the election unfairly.

He therefore called on the Regional Executives Committee to supervise a fair and transparent branch level election.

This is the second time issues of irregularities of the Bole-Bamboi register has been touched on after some 3 NPP activists in the Bole- Bamboi Constituency in the Savannah Region had earlier on disputed the delegates list for the upcoming constituency’s executives elections.

They described as, undemocratic, in the way the delegates album is being manipulated hence dwindling the fortunes of the party in the Region.

In a petition addressed to the Savannah Regional Executive Committee by the three activists, thus, Ibrahim Seidu, Eliasu Jiwa Kassim and Gilbert Mujahid stated that they have observe certain illegalities in the delegates album and want them addressed by the Regional Executive Committee latest by 13th of January, 2022, or they will have no option than to head to court to get their grievances addressed.
