Anti-LGBT Bill: Let’s tread cautiously – NCCE chairperson cautions.

Madam Josephine Nkrumah, Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education, has said that she does not subscribe to LGBTQI+ but as a country we need to be careful as it has a tendency to influence violence extremism.

She said this in Sawla during an inter-party dialogue committee meeting on violence extremism.

According to her, she is a christian and has the right to how she should raise her children on her religious circle.

She said there is a serious a national discussions on this issue of human right with respect to LGBTQI+ and their existence.

Madam Josephine said some countries has with all respect to human right rejected polygamy which she also see as an infringement on the right of those peoples and so I think we need to have broader discussion on this matter because of it tendency of causing instability.

She said that sin is sin either small or big but adding that if a person steal he or she is still entitled to to some human right and there are always processes to deal with such people and in any case if a person is caught indulging in an act, we should not treat the person as if he not a human being.

She said they are venerable and with any little incitement they will go extreme for some extremists to execute their a gender.

She said the very people promoting this have an interest and if their interest is not served they will want to find a way to succeed.

“With the resources available to them they will want go to the extreme to distablize our peace and called on all to treat the issue of LGBTQ+ persons as any other criminal but not to have an exception.
