Confirmation of MDCEs in Savannah Region begins on September 30.

Confirmation of Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) nominees in the Savannah Region will begin on September 30, 2021.

The Minister of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Mr Dan Botwe, released the list of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) nominees by President Akufo-Addo on Sunday, September 19, 2021

A total of 7 Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Savannah Region were announced by Dan Botwe on Sunday as approved by president Akufo Addo.

Per the arrangement, two Municipal and District Assemblies will be confirmed daily with the exception of Central Gonja District as one starting from September 27, 2021.

North- Gonja and West Gonja Districts have been fixed for the first day( 30th September) while Central Gonja District will be held on October 2, North-East Gonja and East Gonja will take their turn on October 4.

The last Assemblies to hold confirmation of the DCE nominees are Bole and Sawla- Tuna-Kalba Districts which will be organized on October 6.
