The College for Community and Organizational Development (CCOD), an organizational development technical institution which seeks to train and develop appreciative leaders in Africa in the transformation of society and business enterprises has rolled out Diploma, BSC and MSC courses in the Bole District for the October 2021/22 academic year.
The college which was inaugurated in Yerikoi in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region in April this year has rolled out academic and Professional courses in Diploma in Community and Organizational Development, Bsc. Community and Organizational Development and Msc. Community and Organizational Development studies after over 25 years in research in the related field of studies and is open admission for admission of new entrants in Bole and its environs.
According to the President of CCOD, Dr. Gabriel Bernakuu, who spoke to a number of people in Bole today, September 28, 2021, at the orientation of potential candidates for study centre in town, noted that the college seeks to train both the young and old, Traditional rulers and Civil Leadership, Handcraft skilled persons, Technical and Vocational skill, Entrepreneurs, etc in skills needed for the promotion of development in social organizations, businesses and the community at large.
“Over 25years of research in Community and Organizational development which is a behavioral science, we at CCOD seek to focus and train individuals in human and organizational studies with the aim to provide them with requisite skills for the job market and also enable them to be self employers as well improve the output of organizations and the community at large”, he said.
Dr. Bernakuu further noted that the management of the college is working assiduously to have mobilisation centres nationwide and therefore is in collaboration with the Jaksally Development Organization, a local NGO in the Savannah region to provide the opportunity to individuals within the Region to get enrolled on their various Diploma, Bsc. and Msc. programs.
Mr. Seidu Jeremiah, Executive Director of the Jaksally Development Organization entreated individuals within the Region who are into vocational enterprises, SHS graduates, professionals and individuals with various levels of qualification to take advantage of the golden opportunity to revitalize themselves and add value to their skills and enterprises.
He reiterated that CCOD has establish a Centre within the Bole District with multiple courses of study and therefore engagement with various stakeholders is underway to ensure that this dream see the light of day.
Meanwhile interested individuals can pick forms at the premises of Yagbon Radio or at the Jaksally office in Mempeasem to get enrolled into the institution for the next academic year.
