Brifor Women Association commends Mr. Jeremiah Seidu for working for women.

The Brifor Women Association, a group of women with a common goal operating in the Sawla-Tuna- Kalba District of the Savannah Region have commended Mr Jeremiah Seidu, coordinator for Jaksally Development Organization for promoting the well-being of the residents especially women in the area.

They mentioned his initiatives in education and women’s empowerment as major achievements since he formed what he called Village Savings and Loans Association( VSLA), which is spread across in 57 districts in 8 Regions in the country.

The group, which is led by Madam Agnes Naawnendoo, made the remarks on the occasion of the Association 9th Annual Congress held at Tuna on April 17, 2021.

According to her the role played by the coordinator of Jaksally Development Organization in the promotion of the welfare of the Brifor woman cannot be overemphasized.

She praised Mr Jeremiah for the introduction of a village saving policy which she stressed that has helped to inculcate the habit of saving money among the women in their various Communities.

“We would forever remained grateful to Mr Jeremiah for the massive love and support he has always shown us”, Madam Agnes indicated.

Mr Jeremiah also speaking at the event said that his NGO is working tirelessly in making sure that the lives and living conditions of women are improved upon.

According to him, the NGO is currently working with 350 VSLA groups across the entire sawla-Tuna-Kalba District.

According to him, through the support of the VSLA groups, he would support the Women Association with 35,000.00 Ghana Cedis to support a school project which the Association has started building.

Aside that Jaksally Development Organization in collaboration with CCOD will offer the women the opportunity to get training from the institution courses in addition to a donation of 100 bags of cement to support the women in realizing their dreams, he noted.

Jaksally Development Organization,is a non- profiting body based in Bole that identifies evidence based advocacy, partnerships, collaboration, networks, internship, mentoring, coaching and on the field training as principal enterprise areas for meeting its objective/goal of rural wealth creation.

Jaksally’s strategy is to support to build the capacity of communities, women, youth, other partners, institutions, students interns from all levels and facilitate their understanding of theory and practice to contemporary development system, social business, academic, business courses or programs being offered, assist them to set up and manage their own, enterprises, business schemes and engage in profitable business ventures including self-employment.
