Bole Community Co-operative Credit Union celebrates 25 years of service.

The Bole Community Co-operative Credit Union marked a significant milestone this year as it celebrated its 25th anniversary.

The event brought together members, local leaders, and well-wishers who have been part of the credit union’s journey since its inception.

Bole Community Co-operative Credit Union has remained committed to empowering its members through accessible financial services and community development.

Over the years, the credit union has grown significantly, to serving thousands of members and contributing positively to the local economy.

Mr Dramani Natogmah Adams, Board Chairman of the Union welcomed Co-operators and explained the financial performance of the Union.

He said the Union has recorded a significant growth in assets size from GHS 52,064,000 in 2024 to GHS 79,345,000 in 2025 constituting to over 52per cent growth.

Savings, he said grew from GHS 41,508,000 in 2024 to GHS 61,498,000 plus in 2025 constituting to an increase of 48.16 percent .

On membership growth, the Chairman said members grew from 8,294 in 2024 to 10,120 marginally for 2025

A net Surplus of GHS 5,094,000 in 2025 was as compared to 2,785,000 in 2024 constituting to an increase of over 82percent.

Loans disbursement in 2025,1548 customers applied for loans as compared to 1362 customers in 2024.

Speaking on the acquisition of assets,”the BOCCCU main banking premises construction is on going here in Bole,also work has commence for a banking premises in Tinga “the charges said.

On achievements ,the Credit union has achieved a Grade A in the credit unions grading as compared to when it was Grade B in 2024.

The union has received various recognition awards from various institutions for its role in supporting activities notably from GES and the Agric Office.

And in their 25 years of service they now have the Bole,Tuna,Tinga,Damango and Daboya branches with 76 staffs for both field and offices staffs.

Mr Moro Salaam Ziida, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee,said a look at the financials of the Credit Union showed a continuous growth in profit, liquidity, membership and other operational areas and encouraged the Board and Management to continue with the good policies, programmes and apply same to all members that brought about their annual growth.

Despite the achievements there areas that have been identified for improvement stating that cooperate social responsibility should not always be monetize or materialized as a team ,clean up exercise could also be carried out by way of social responsibility.

Loans delinquency is also an issue to be considered by board management and the loans committee members hence the supervisory committee would like to entreat Board management on increasing the marketing strategies of BOCCU products.

Also he cautioned customers to keep their pass books save and make enquires on issues they have doubts about.

He howe encouraged members on saving and buying more shares rather than emptying their accounts.

Good will message were also given by some dignitaries and in one of these messages the MPs rep for Bole – Bamboi constituency, noted that the Mp was very pleased with the union for the massive employment it gives out to citizens and in honor of this he pledge to be an ambassador of the credit union.

In attendance was a representative of the Bole wura,representative of the MP,representative from various security services,other chiefs and queen mother ,past executives,executive of the Sawla Community Cooperative Credit Union,staff of all the branches of the Bole Community Co-operative Credit Union.
