The Former Assembly Member for the Sanyeri Electoral Area, in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District in the Savannah region, Hon.Gbaran Gbolo ,is contesting for the position of a chairman as the sole candidate in the party’s upcoming constituency officers’ election.

By the close of nomination on Wednesday, June 25, 2026, he was the only candidate who was able to submit his nomination forms to the Constituency Election Committee.

Hon. Gbaran Gbolo’s unopposed candidature is widely described by many as a strong endorsement of his leadership, dedication, and years of committed service to the party at the constituency level.

His emergence marks a significant milestone for inclusive leadership and political participation for persons with disabilities in Ghana.

Known for his resilience, humility, and commitment to grassroots mobilization, Hon. Gbaran Gbolo has played an active role in strengthening the NPP in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency over the years.

He previously served in constituency leadership and has earned the admiration of party members through his hard work and loyalty.

Party supporters have welcomed the development with excitement, describing his unopposed bid as a sign of unity, confidence, and trust in his leadership.

Speaking after the confirmation of his unopposed status, Hon. Gbaran Gbolo expressed gratitude to party executives, delegates, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.

“I am deeply humbled by this overwhelming show of trust and confidence.

This is not just a personal victory but a victory for unity, service, and inclusion.

Together, we will work tirelessly to strengthen our party and secure victory for the NPP in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba,” he stated.

Political observers believe his emergence sends a powerful message that disability is not inability and that leadership should be based on competence, vision, and commitment rather than physical limitations.

His journey is expected to inspire many young people and persons with disabilities across the country to actively participate in leadership and governance.

As the constituency prepares for the next phase of party organization and electoral activities, all eyes remain on Hon. Gbaran Gbolo as he takes up the challenge of leading the NPP in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba toward greater unity and success.

Apart from  Hon Gbaran Gbolo who is going unchallenged, all other candidates in the race are facing keen competition in an election that has produced what can be described as very little or no acrimony, although with very high stakes.
