Bole Nursing and Midwifery Training College holds 13th matriculation

The Nursing and Midwifery Training College at Bole in the Savannah Region has held its 13th matriculation ceremony to welcome 288 new students into the 2024/2025 academic year, who joined its registered public health nursing, registered nurse assistant preventive and post NAC/NAP midwifery programs.

In a Welcome address by the principal, Mr. Tirah Haruna, mentioned that a total number of 580 applicants applied to the Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Bole to study the various programs being offered in the Institution.

The Principal noted that only 288 applicants were offered admissions having been found successful in the selection interview conducted by the admission panel, to determine the quality of applicants being admitted to the College.

Again the statistics for the various programs are, 145 Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP), 109 Registered Public Health Nursing Diploma and 32 Registered Midwifery Diploma.

“The College under my leadership will continue to focus on her pursuit of excellence in teaching, clinical and pre-service training as cherished in our vision to produce a polyvalent Nurse for the promotion of healthy population for national development he said”.

The School Principal also appeal to the MP for Bole-Bamboi to assist them receive a note of no comment from central government to provide their new campus a befitting face lift.

Mr. Tirah Haruna also advice the students to be regular in attendance at lectures, carrying out all their assignments, they should show respect to their colleagues and staff in the College, they should be modest and decent in their dressing and approach to issues.

He also cautioned the students to stay away from deviant behaviors, hooliganism, substance abuse and cultism.

Mr. Mahama Haruna John speaking on behalf of the District Coordinating Director congratulated the matriculants for gaining admission in the College.

The Assistant Coordinating Director, stated that the Bole Municipal Assembly has collaborated with the College in so many ways and their doors are always open to build the school together.

Mr, Osman noted that last year the College presented some structure problems at the new site and their engineers came and they did some verification and those documents were forwarded to the GET FUND Secretariat but they didn’t get any information before the former administration left the office.

The Assistant Coordinating Director urge the students to take their studies very serious.

Alhaji Sulemana Kamagtey ,speaking on behalf of the MP for Bole-Bamboi and Deputy Minister of Land and Natural Resources mentioned that very soon the new campus will be fit for purpose, the MP also assured the students that their students allowance will be paid regularly and without any delay in this John Mahama’s administration .

The Deputy Minister, also promised the female students of distributing PADs to them as promised by the President, and also advised them to take their studies very serious and after completing their studies they will be posted directly to the various facilities to work.
