Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, Member of Parliament for the Bole- Bamboi Constituency of the National Democratic Congress, has appealed to the youth in the party to exercise restraint and refrain from acts that would impugn the integrity and image of the party.

The MP through a statement issued on January 21,2025, advised the youth to live by the ministerial appointments made by President John Dramani Mahama.

The MP in the statement said that they shouldn’t disgrace the President stating that he knows exactly what he is doing to reset Ghana.

According to Yusif he has a good relationship with his brother President Mahama and these actions might jeopardize that relationship.

He however deny knowledge of the actions as he vehemently condemned it.

Background.

Few hours after President John Mahama has concluded his appointment of substantive Ministers today some NDC youth in the in Bole-Bamboi Constituency burned tyres over the omission of Hon Yussif Sulemana among the list .

The NDC Youth expressed unhappiness over the development and went to President Mahama’s fathers house to burn a few car tyres.

It was also alleged that these youth threatened to burn down the NDC party office in Bole.

According to the agitated Youth in 2008 they thought vice President Mahama would have appointed Hon Samuel Mahama Akate from Bole the late MP into government but however it was Mills government but never happened in 2012 to 2016 when the NDC was in power.

However, with the collaboration between party executives and the police calm has been restored.
