A young rising business man based at Tuna in the Sawla -Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region,Mr Wella John ,has challenged Ghanaians, especially the younger generation to discard what he described as “the quick money mentality”.
He observed that the phenomenon is a major contributory factor for the many young people who are falling foul of the law and thereby ending up in prison.
Mr John made the observation when he appeared on Yagbon radio local program ” Jaanuor buur” as a guest.
He admonished the youth to avoid the ‘get-rich-quick’ attitude but acquire entrepreneurial skills to make them self-reliant.
He reminded them that the hunger for quick money was a harbinger for self-destruction.
Mr John advised against greed, quick fixes and craving for money, which form the basis of many evils in our society.
“Remember that in life there are no shortcuts. Seek excellence, believe in yourself, work hard, plan ahead and be ethical in all your dealing, and these virtues will lead you on the path of success.”he stated.
