The body of an unknown person that was discovered on February 19, 2022, in Sawla, the capital of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region has finally been identified after his family showed up.
He has been identified as Vug Gbolo AKA Gbolo Tintinase and had since received a befitting burial after his body was exhumed by the police and family members under court request.
This happened on March 3, 2022, in the presence of stakeholders in that included the security agencies, family and the Assembly Member.
The Assembly Member for the area, confirmed this to Yagbon News.
“He said he is an eye witness to the whole incident and can confirm to the media that Mr Gbolo was now given a befitting burial under customs and tradition by his family members”.
Mr Gbolo was a native of jinlikon who resides in Sawla as a security man in the Sawla R/C cluster of school in charge of the computer lab until his demise.
He was found buried halfway with part of his body unburied at Sawla R/C cluster of the cluster of schools .
Speaking to Yagbon News, DSP Paul Lambert explained that such process is called treating inquest .
The District Police Commander explained that when this happens the police will have to apply to the court to exhume the body for investigation purposes adding that a pathologist was invited after the court has granted the application.
However, the family had earlier made a formal complaint to my office prior to his demise, DSP Lambert said.
He added that such exhumation come with legal bureaucracies that needs to be followed but has not confirm the cause of his death.
