Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey, MP for Sawla -Tuna- Kalba Constituency, in the Savannah Region, has advised students of Tuna Senior High/ Technical School to attend to their studies as this would better their lives.
He said if they applied themselves, coupled with good moral upbringing, they would guarantee for themselves improved lifestyles, to their own benefit and that of their communities.
Hon.Andrew gave the advice in an interaction with students of Tuna Senior High/ Technical School who visited Parliament, in Accra, recently.
The students observed proceedings in the chamber from the public gallery.
Later, in the interaction with the students, Hon. Andrew, explained the work of Parliament to the young students and advised them to stick to their books and be prepared to take the mantle of leadership when the time comes.
The Legislator explained the process of making laws to students and urged them to be good ambassadors of their school and the Constituency.
He said they need to use their time in school profitably, and acquire skills that would make them employable in the future.
Hon.Andrew commended the students on their visit, and promised to continue offer packages that would promote education in the area.
Some of the students, described the premises of Parliament as a “nice place” and said they had learned a lot from the visit.
