The Disciplinary Committee of the Northern Regional Division Two league has declared that both STK Stars and Dreams FC have used unqualified players in the middle league match between the two teams hence the result of that match( which STK Stars won 2-1) has been annulled.
Consiquently, Dreams FC has qualified for Division One league with 9 points ahead of STK Stars which now has 6 points.
Earlier, the Committee declared STK Stars the winners of their abandoned game against Yoo FC.
Management of STK Stars however strongly disagreed with the rulling and said they would appeal the rulling.
STK Stars which many thought had qualified for the Division One league with their superb performance in the middle league having won three of thier four matches and had a better head to head against Dreams since the latter lost 1-2 to STK.
However, Dreams filled a last minute protest against 2 players of STK Stars that set the Disciplinary Committee into action.
Yagbon Radio Sports can confirm that the rulling of the committee has shocked many followers of football especially in Tamale with many sports journalist in the regional capital who convered the league accusing the GFA president Kurt E.A Kruku for allegedly bending the rules to favour his team Tamale Dreams FC.
