The Sawla Tuna Kalba District Football Association (STK- DFA) as part of the “BRING BACK THE LOVE” campaign on Sunday, 22nd March, 2020 made a visit to the Taare community to introduce the Association and as well brief them on today’s football and its impact to communities.
Mr. Puro Stephen, the Coordinator of the Savannah Football Tournament and Active member of the FA assured stakeholders the need to embrace football as a powerful tool for development. He went ahead to mention the Savannah Football Tournament as a medium that has exposed talents from grassroot to the outside world which two players are currently playing outside Ghana and others with big Clubs in the country.

In a speech, the Chairman of the Sawla Tuna Kalba District Football Association, Mr Alhassan Rahman Nyariba made known the existence of the District Football Association which is geared towards bringing football opportunities to their doorsteps.
He reiterated that, the value they attach to formal education should be replicated for football because they are inseparable because the juvenile players registration requirement demands a child should be in School. He urged the Parents to help develop the football talent of their wards by encouraging and supporting them financially and spiritually just as the formal education. He cited an example of how a child can rise to the top as a talented player but weak in academics.
The Community and the stakeholders should strongly support the managers of the Taare Babies Football club to raise the image of the community and the District, he added.
Mr. Alhassan Iddi (Gomua) a Coaches Rep on the DFA Exco suggested to the Stakeholders to device strategies of raising funds to support and finance their wards and the Football Club.
The executives took a stop at Nakwabi to interact with a cross section of the youth about football development in the District and promise to come on a schedule date to interact with the stakeholders cognisance of the preventive measures of Covid-19.
