The Member of Parliament for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey has presented one thousand, one hundred and fifty (1,150) mathematical sets to all final year pupils taking part in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in his constituency.

The presentation was made today August 7th, 2023 by the Member of Parliament at a short ceremony at the Sawla Senior High School.

Making the presentation, Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey said like the previous years, he has sponsored mock examination in all Junior High Schools across the District which was supervised by the District Education Directorate as part of efforts to prepare the students for the exams.

He again assured all students of a scholarship package to all best students of the year and the scholarship will extend to the Senior High School if only those outstanding students agreed to school in Sawla Senior High school.

Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey lamented why all brilliant students rather prefer going to other schools instead of the Sawla Senior High School in the District.

He promised that he is going to support any student who will select the District SHS(Sawla) as his/her to first choice.

The Sawla -Tuna-kalba District Director of Education, Hajia Afisah Diabor commended the MP for the donation and his continued support for learning outcomes in the District.

She said that despite all the challenges, the District has been on top in the BECE among the seven (7) Districts in the Savannah Region and has received presidential awards.

Madam Hajia Afisah attributed to the fact that their massive performance is due to the Member of Parliament unflinching support.

The constituency secretary Mr. Abdallla Osman (Chafii), Mr John Ebaltey communication officer, Mr Isaac kipo deputy youth organizer and Mr. Emmanuel Anbon were the few constituency executives that were present to help the MP to do the presentations.
