Rainstorm rips off roofs of schools, buildings in Nkrankwanta.

A rainstorm that hit the Dormaa-West District Capital, Nkrankwanta, has led to the destruction of structures within the District.

The rainstorm occurred Thursday evening, March 3, 2022.

The rainstorm ripped off the roof of buildings, uprooted trees, and brought down giant billboards in parts of the town.

The storm ripped off the roof of a classroom structure at Nkrankwanta Senior High School and also the roof the L/A JHS was ripped off.

The suburbs affected by the storm included, Zongo, Asikafour, Nkranstech among other places.

The Assemblyman for Zongo Electoral Area, Mr. Yussif Issah, whose public toilet was also affected by the storm, on a tour around the affected places told Yagbon News that, NADMO will do an assessment of the extent of damage on Friday March, 4, 2022, to determine the way forward.
