The running mate to John Mahama in the 2024 presidential elections, Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has donated some equipment to artisans in Bole.

The artisan were tailors and hair dressers totalling 60 who received 30 sewing machines and 30 hair dryers respectively.

The running mate made the donation during her campaign tour of the Bole-Bamboi constituency of the Savannah Region.

Addressing the artisans at Wuripe and Son’s Royal Lodge, the Prof said they should consider their skill as a calling and must not underrate themselves because what they posses are talents.

Prof Jane said some time is not about what you do for a living but how you do it adding that if you are doing one thing why don’t you try others.

Prof said due to lack of planning by artisans when they retire there is nothing to depend on stating that why won’t they be a special insurance for artisans.

Prof Jane urged them to leverage on loans scheme through the women Bank and the 24hr economy when the NDC wins to grow their businesses because Ghana has talent

Stressing on the policy for artisanal trade hon Yusif said with John Dramani Mahama as President his government will pay for any individual who will want to learn a trade.

The ranking member of Trade and Industry Committee of Parliament said he has worked with artisans since he assumed as MP and stated that there had been massive support from these artisans.
