Some eleven parliamentary aspirants have been cleared by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to contest four orphan constituencies in the Savannah Region.
The aspirants are contesting the Bole-Bamboi, Sawla-Tuna- Kalba, Yapei-Kusawgu and Salaga-South constituencies.
They were cleared by the Vetting Committee chaired by the National Communication Director, Mr Richard Ahiaghah held in Damongo.
Speaking to Yagbon News, the Savannah Regional Secretary, Mr Mohammed Issah, said that Raphael Abolasom Kumah and David Sei Demah will battle for the Bole-Bamboi constituency, the Sawla-Tuna- Kalba constituency has four aspirants namely; Ankaara Sankara, Gilbieri Jonathan, Seidu Banasco Nuhu and Lonsina Barkisu.
The Yapei- Kusawgu constituency has Nbonwura Bashiru, Amadu Zakaria and BF Haruna and its parliamentary aspirants.
While Salifu Adam Braimah and Alidu Zakaria will face each other for the Salaga- South constituency.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it will hold parliamentary primaries for constituencies without representation in parliament (orphan constitutes) on December 2, 2023.
