They followed the direction of the truck until their motor developed flat tyre which the patrol team were unable to arrest the vehicle with the goods.
On Monday 4th May, 2020 at about 1015hrs the officers at Chache Border again saw the truck that was identified loaded with cashew using the same unapproved route.
The KIA truck was trailed to Sawla where it was intercepted and escorted to the Bole with the help of officers from Bole District Office.

On that same day one Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini came to the office to claim ownership of the goods and he was told that the seized goods would be sent to GRA of Customs Division for official handover which has since been done, he said.
DSI Stephen added that, it’s been difficult reaching that particular area to arrest people who used that illegal route due to lack of transport for patrols. The officers sometimes rely on their own private motorbikes in order to extend their patrols to the area.
He again appealed to the settlers in the area to confined in them by reporting those who used the unapproved route for their activities.
